The Maria Mitchell Chapter, NSDAR, was founded 5 years ago by Organizing Regent Michelle Reynolds, as a way to facilitate service activities. We prioritize building our community in addition to our service work. Our chapter is composed of dynamic women, many of whom are professionals in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) fields. Our chapter strives to provide a community for those who may not have found one readily available in their daily lives.

Michelle Reynolds
Michelle is the founder and current leader of the chapter. Her passion for veterans shapes the current main focus of the chapter’s service projects. She encourages these activities to be fun and engaging, as well as meaningful to veterans.
Michelle is a systems engineer with a little girl Frannie. Frannie is a little problem solver and has a toolbox at less than two years old. Michelle’s husband is an active duty pilot. She is active in her community in ways that include volunteering with honor flight and her local soup kitchen.
